Kit Difficulty Levels & Build Times Explained

Not sure which kit is right for you, or for the person you are buying for? Here is how TinyCraft difficulty levels work, and roughly how long each kind of build takes, so you can choose with confidence.

Difficulty levels

  • Beginner: simple steps and forgiving pieces. Perfect for a first build or a younger maker. No experience needed.
  • Intermediate: more pieces and finer detail, with a little more patience required. A satisfying step up.
  • Advanced and Expert: intricate, multi-part builds for makers who enjoy a real project and a showpiece result.

Every product page lists the difficulty, the piece count, and the estimated build time, so there are no surprises.

How long does a kit take?

  • Mini crochet: about 2 to 4 hours, ideal for a single cosy afternoon.
  • Book nooks: roughly 5 to 12 hours, depending on the design.
  • Miniature rooms: around 8 to 20 hours, best enjoyed over a few evenings or a weekend.
  • Larger advanced builds: 20 hours and up for the most detailed kits.

There is no rush. The slow, screen-free process is half the joy. Ready to choose? Browse beginner-friendly kits or our best sellers to begin.
